Rear and Front Suspension
MOTOKS produces motorcycle shock absorbers with fixed, preload-adjustable and gas-charged configurations for scooters, commuter bikes and off-road machines. Spring rate, damper oil viscosity and seal quality determine whether a unit holds its damping over time, and all three are specified per application rather than applied generically.
Choosing a Shock Absorber
- Match eye-to-eye length and mount type (eye, clevis, stud) to the original unit.
- Spring rate should reflect rider weight and typical load, not just bike model.
- Gas-charged and reservoir designs resist fading under sustained rough-road use.
- Adjustable rebound and compression are worth specifying for off-road and sport applications.
Fork and Shock Range
A front fork is specified by four dimensions: tube diameter, overall length, axle mount type and brake mount. Rear shocks are specified by eye-to-eye length plus mount type. Measure on the bike, not from a catalogue photo.

Procurement Terms
- Minimum order
- 100 pairs per model. Different lengths and finishes can be combined in one shipment.
- Samples
- A sample pair can be supplied so tube fit, axle mount and brake mount are confirmed before production.
- Lead time
- 15–30 days after deposit. Express options are available for urgent restocking.
- Customisation
- Tube diameter and overall length within tooling limits, spring rate for rider weight and load, finish (gloss black, matte silver, titanium), dust boot and brake mount configuration, and your logo on the lower leg.
- Quality control
- Every unit is stroke-tested and leak-tested, chrome plating and seal fit are inspected, and damping oil viscosity is checked per batch.
- Payment and shipping
- T/T with 30% deposit. FOB, CIF or EXW terms, shipped from Guangzhou to ports worldwide.

Suspension Sourcing FAQ
Which dimensions do I need to measure for a front fork?
Four: tube diameter, overall length from the top cap to the axle centre, axle mount type (single-sided, double-sided or clevis) and brake mount. Send a photo of the brake caliper mount as well — it is the most common mismatch on scooter forks.
How is spring rate specified?
Tell us rider weight, typical load (solo, two-up, luggage) and intended use. We map that to a spring rate rather than assuming one rate per bike model, which is the most common cause of harsh or sagging suspension.
Do you supply rebuild kits?
Seal kits and damper oil are available for our own models. Send the model reference for a parts list.
